Dance of Awareness™ (DoA) is a new approach to working with movement, dance and awareness, developed by Tim Brown and Clare Osbond.
It has five main streams of influence: Neo-Reichian body-centred psychotherapy; Five Rhythms dance; Authentic Movement; Dance Movement Psychotherapy; and the experiential exploration of Awareness itself. It is a group movement practice that aims to increase self-awareness and self- acceptance.
That sounds quite heavy right?... but really, Dance of Awareness™ provides a framework for you to truly nurture and consciously experience yourself through dance and movement of your own making.
You come to move and dance to your body's inner impulses through the cycle of 6 phases.. Sensing, Grounding, Expressing, Releasing, Connecting and Completion; mindfully celebrating your existence through mindful dance movement with great music to inspire your experience and gentle invitation for you to consciously work with your movement more therapeutically.
I have 18 years experience in Holistic Body Work and can honestly say that DoA works so well at shifting stuck energy in the body, helping one to recognise and break away from old patterns of thought and behaviours that can hold us back.
No steps to learn or dance experience necessary ... suitable for all levels of fitness.
See Dance of Awareness Worthing on Facebook for upcoming classes and workshops.

''I have attended 2 Dance of Awareness Worthing sessions now and I have found both to be enjoyable and free-ing for body and soul. It is wonderful to be able to dance to your bodies own impulse in a beautifully held space....'' Louise
''You must try Dance of Awareness... I left the workshop feeling energised and relaxed at the same time.'' Kate
